Downstairs bathroom extension - Abingdon, Oxfordshire

For this project, a new downstairs bathroom was required to make life easier for Mrs Bramwell and her daughter in Abingdon. We completed this project on behalf of South Oxfordshire District Council.

Because there was no room within this property for an additional bathroom, we had to build a small extension on the front of the property to accomodate it. Mrs Bramwell's daughter was struggling to get to the upstairs bathroom, so this new addition to the house was an important necessity.

We built the new extension over the existing front door, completing all the required drainage, electrics and plumbing within the build. The existing front door opening became the entrance to the new room, but we also widened this to 900mm should wheelchair access be required in future.

The bathroom itself was fitted out with non-slip Altro flooring, a new wash hand basic and close-coupled WC, a radiator and 2 drop-down rails on either side of the WC.

"I would like to thank the whole Innovation team for there hard work and consideration throughout the whole build. Each and every tradesman who came to our house was not only friendly and polite but very good at there job and I would recommend Innovation to anyone. This extension is going to make mine and my daughters life much easier and it will give her the independence she so badly needed." - Cynthia bramwell Abingdon.
