Disabled Access Wet Room, Sonning Common, Oxfordshire

This recently completed project is a conversion of an existing bathroom into a disabled access wet room in Sonning Common, Oxfordshire, on behalf of South Oxfordshire District Council.

The customer, Mr Butler, is in a wheelchair and could not use the bathroom easily in its existing layout, so we removed the bath and converted/installed one our state of the art wet rooms with a level access shower tray so he can now fully manoeuvre himself around the whole bathroom safely.

We installed one of our hi-tech Mira electric showers (very efficient and simple to use) and a non-slip vinyl floor to provide safety when showering. We fitted an AKW fold-away shower chair and relocated the wash hand basin, so the bathroom now meets all of Mr Butler's demands and is entirely functional.

We are always happy to undertake these projects that improve people's lives, and the customer is always delighted too:

"Recently I had my bathroom transformed into a wet room with disabled aids fitted. I found the Innovation team were all very polite and always on time, they were very accommodating and I felt completely at ease whilst the work was being undertaken. I could recommend Innovation to anybody considering a bathroom conversion."
