Disabled Access Driveway and Door Replacement - Aylesbury, Bucks

This project involved changes to the home of a gentleman who had recently become a wheelchair user.

The improvements were all about accessibility - we had already converted the upstairs bathroom into a disabled access wet room and widened downstairs doorways at this property.

Now we had to address the exterior and access to the house. Firstly, we removed the existing front door and porch way door and installed level-access versions with the latest 5-point locking system for added security. We also built a ramp between the two doorways to make wheelchair access much easier. We removed the rear inwards-opening patio door and put in a level access sliding door set.

Last but not least we had to dig up the existing garden and put in a new block paved driveway, which we tapered up to meet the front door threshold to give seamless entry to the house.

The customers - Mr and Mrs Cox - were delighted with the finished improvements and had this to say: "We would just like to thank the whole Innovation team for what they have done for us . They have made what could have been a very stressfull time into a very easy transition from old to new. The guys were all spot on in everything they did and always kept us upto speed with what was happening. They really have transformed our lives for the better and we cant thank them enough."
